Michael Coleman from Adobe released a statement the other day, indicating that they are dropping support for PowerPC Macintosh computers. So if you’re still holding out for a new Intel PowerMac… now is the time to buy.

Maxon has released Cinema 4D R11. Among the many new features is a completely new Global Illumination algorithm, rendering much more realistic GI scenes. Better render speeds, 64bit OS X support and the inclusion of a very interesting matte painting system called Projection Man that looks to ease the process of creating mattes, through tight integration with Adobe Photoshop and Bodypaint. Great work, I especially like the superbowl video from last year.

With this post I’m tagging it as “bookmark“. I think I’ve come up with a plan for organizing some of the information on this site. Hopefully you find every post on this site worthy of saving, but I have the “godfathers” section of the site for this very reason. Which are a few of the many post-production houses around the world that mainly create sports related graphics and winning awards for that work. But with the “bookmark” category, I can tag posts that are not content specific but rather location specific. Meaning, bookmark this companies Viemo or Youtube page. If I added every companies various channels or flickr pages to the “Godfathers” section, it would get pretty long. Lastly, I’ve added Fox Sports Graphics to the “Godfathers” section.
