My new year's resolution is to update this site every work day (M-Fri). But, it's tough to find worthy posts. So thats why I've decided to offer free posts in ...
Roman Farias for The Chicago White Sox
Roman Farias along with Justin Tuazon and everyone else at the Chicago White sox did a great job on this in-game video for game one of the Cubs/Sox series last season.

mfactor for Fox NFL
Old news here, but my buddy Ben just found out that mfactor did those sweet lower thirds on Fox's NFL sunday. Unfortunately, the site is all flash so I can't ...
The Famous Group for Atlanta
I had the pleasure of being introduced to the Famous Group at IDEA this year, and they're doing some great work. Looks like they're doing less sports stuff. I found ...
Superfad for Nike
Anamorphic Lens flares galore. I (much like sports graphics) am a huge fan of lens flares. So, seeing something like this, that uses them elegantly, is great. I especially like ...
Maxon has released Cinema 4D R11. Among the many new features is a completely new Global Illumination algorithm, rendering much more realistic GI scenes. Better render speeds, 64bit OS X support and the inclusion of a very interesting matte painting system called Projection Man that looks to ease the process of creating mattes, through tight integration with Adobe Photoshop and Bodypaint. Hit the jump for a full feature list. …read more
Fox Sport GFX Vimeo Channel
Great work, I especially like the superbowl video from last year.
With this post I’m tagging it as “bookmark“. I think I’ve come up with a plan for organizing some of the information on this site. Hopefully you find every post on this site worthy of saving, but I have the “godfathers” section of the site for this very reason. Which are a few of the many post-production houses around the world that mainly create sports related graphics and winning awards for that work. But with the “bookmark” category, I can tag posts that are not content specific but rather location specific. Meaning, bookmark this companies Viemo or Youtube page. If I added every companies various channels or flickr pages to the “Godfathers” section, it would get pretty long. Lastly, I’ve added Fox Sports Graphics to the “Godfathers” section.
Sorry for the lack of updates lately, I’ve been busy at my day job. I’ve re-designed Bridges Media Group’s website using some of the knowledge I picked up here at GraphicsMafia (they both run on wordpress). So it is with full disclosure that I’m posting our website, we’ve done a few sports related projects (which flash by pretty quick in the Demo Reel) but we currently don’t have any sports related featured projects. Why would I post something un-related to sports? Well, I’m starved for content, and I worked damn hard on that site. So deal with it.
I know NFL spring training is starting up, so there are plenty of people working on in-game features (*cough Chicago Bears *cough) and I know people would really like to see some examples.

Here is some great work from Gkaster. Thanks for the contribution. I’m told he’s a fellow C4D user. As a novice user myself I’m hoping I can get him to share some of his secrets. I love those reflections, I’m guessing he used the advanced renderer.
Fox Sports Design is offering an on-air design competition with a chance to win some necessary software in our line of work. It’s only 5seconds and they give you the audio. Whose doing it?
Another great job from the guys at Lift (wiki) here in Chicago. This one is a show package for Coast to Coast college basketball year in review. Thanks for the contribution Jason.
I’ve been a long time fan of Lloyd Alvarez, actually of the scripts that he writes on AEscripts.com. Specifically the background renderer that has found its way onto every AE workstation I come in contact with. I had to buy him a beer (or six).
Brad Chmielewski from Daily Planet was kind enough to contribute the Chicago Blackhawks 2007 “in game” open. Great job to everybody on the team. How easy is the comp to update? I’m sure every season the Hawks need to alter the project in terms of the new team roster.
