ESPN Monday Night Football at Full Sail
Pretty cool story here. It looks like ESPN shot the classic opening music video starring Hank Williams Jr. at Full Sail university.

Nice show opener from Nailgun.
With week one of the 2011 NFL season behind us, I’ve posted a lot of great NFL graphics including NFL Replay, NFL Live, Sunday Night Football, and Thursday Night Football. Rounding out the week is the NFL Gameday Opener for the NFL Network. Really well done piece that builds a lot of momentum. I prefer the directors cut embedded below. The whole team did a really nice job.

Capacity has done an amazing job with their NFL Replay package.
From their website:
The new NFL Replay package is an exercise in shiny, mechanical eye candy. We collaborated with a brilliant designer at NFL Network to create a sharp, interchangeable, device-based system. The games shown on NFL Replay are edited down to contain the most exciting moments, then augmented with loads of additional + exclusive content, hence the gloss and gold sparks. ; )

I headed out to New York to Direct real American sportsmen for these idents. I worked closelywith designer Andy Olly. The Idents created were a beautiful classic glossy look that supported the authentic American channel. ESPN America went to air with a brand new heroic on-air look, and was supported through the line by print, press and online advertising.

Great work from FormTroopers. They also worked on the end tags for the Adidas “All In” spots posted here back in May.
FormTroopers was founded by creative partners Toke Blicher Møller and Jeppe Bingestam, as a full service design studio. With a long history in motion and graphic design, we create visual solutions across a variety of platforms – from concept to delivery.

Watching Sunday Night Football last night I was reminded how great Troika’s work for both Football Night in America and Sunday Night Football is. If you haven’t seen their case study for this work, I highly recommend it. It’s a quick read and is really interesting.
*Update*
Looks like Chicago’s own J. Ivy made an appearance in the opener of last nights game. Anyone got any info on who produced this open?

Well the NFL season has begun. I’ll be updating all week with as much new NFL motion graphics I can find. Be sure to send in your IN-GAME graphics to share with everyone.
Amazing work from Capacity. Including friend of GraphicsMafia BrightPhoton. Take a look at their in depth case study.
For the 2010/11 installment of Thursday Night Football packaging, we were fortunate enough to orchestrate a multinational collaboration with some of our favorite artists. Our Los Angeles-based team worked closely with Dublin-based Echolab and Paris-based BrightPhoton, as well as fellow countryman and legendary concept artist, Hawaii-based Craig Mullins and of course the talented team at NFL Network down the street. The resulting creation is an epic, NFL-branded labor of love.
