Last month Lloyd Alvarez, scripting genius of aescripts.com spoke at AENY meetup last month. Someone posted his screen capture on vimeo. It’s 40mins and really great. I can’t wait for aenhancers.com to release the text edit script.

The Mograph blog’s newest post about mastering the render queue is frankly amazing. I consider myself to be a pretty savvy after effects user and I didn’t know half this stuff. This is the kind of information that really helps me on a day to day basis. That’s why I’ve added The Mograph Blog to the Consigliere (or counsel) categories of links near the bottom of the sidebar.
Lost Project, or Craig Stouffer, motion director extraordinaire has some great and very recognizable work done with Troika. His reel is from 2007 but check out his NFL network and NBC Football projects. Super glossy, reflecting, lens flare goodness.
Looks like Grid Iron’s new program Flow is coming out in the coming months for beta testing out now. Flow is content managing program. It’s not a plugin or something like that, seems like a really great way to keep track of all the assets one uses in after affects, photoshop, illustrator and many other programs.
Some really great boards from Superfad’s CG/VFX Director Dade Orgeron. Sadly it seems these boards for ESPN College Basketball never got produced. But they sure are beautiful.
Opening title storyboards for ESPN’s coverage of the NCAA championships. CG elements created in XSI and rendered with MentalRay. Final frames composited in Photoshop.

Another cool one from National Television.
Sidenote, National TV did a great job with their site. If you’re familiar with this blog then you know that I absolutely hate flash websites. Rarely do they follow any of the logic that years of html has dictated and simple things like linking to a “page” gets left out of the coding. So, congrats National Television. For making a flash website thats actually a pleasure to visit and easy to share.
