Last month Lloyd Alvarez, scripting genius of aescripts.com spoke at AENY meetup last month. Someone posted his screen capture on vimeo. It’s 40mins and really great. I can’t wait for aenhancers.com to release the text edit script.

Ok, just as I thought. Google ads was the reason the site was loading so slowly. I know we all loved that little experiment of trying to earn back my hosting costs. And I certainly appreciate the all-time ad revenue of $3.92. So consider graphicsmafia google adless and consider this my offer to anyone who would like to advertise on this site to shoot me an email and we’ll work something out.

Skyline post of South Carolina created the in-game package for the Carolina Panthers. Some really great work.
Hit the jump for the quicktime and styleboards.
Pretty sweet tutorial for a universe to street corner fly in effect in after effects. http://www.videocopilot.net/tutorial/earth_zoom/
While at the Famous Group Zero Version designed some cool boards for the 49’s. Famous Group’s 2009 reel is up with some recognizable sports stuff. Check back soon for a new website.

Graphicsmafia friend Chad Ashley has created a new blog where he’ll be posting his experiences with new CG software. A highly accomplished 3D artist, Chad currently heads up the 3D department at Digital Kitchen Chicago.
So far cgpov.com is off to a great start with a free HDR and a review of hdrlight studio.
If you check this site often, you know I really like posting boards, but I don’t come across that many sports boards. A lot of sports graphics (especially in-game) are pretty quick turn around and the idea of creating boards can be a bit of a tough sell to the powers that be. But it is interesting that the boards I do find are not only really great but usually are never made into spots. Go figure.
Sebastian Onufszak of Germany has some very beautiful boards.
Born in Breslau, Poland in 1978, Sebastian Onufszak is a German visual artist focusing on print, interactive media and motion graphics.
Since 2002 he has been working for an international range of high-end clients. Additionally he is reknowned for his experimental live visuals which supported Funkstoerung, Mouse on Mars, Michael Fakesch and many more.
His works were featured in numerous publications and exhibitions worldwide. He is founder of the well-known artist collective “Propagandabuero”.
Having worked as Creative Director at Parasol Island for more than two years, he is now available as a freelance designer and director.
Also, take note of his “information” section on his site. Very complete, including links to all his profiles on sites such as myspace and cpluv. I think its great to have that information available. Also, check out Grey Scale Gorilla’s post on making “about” webpages.
